PokerStars added heads-up cash tables

I've been playing 2/4 and 3/6 no-limit heads up on them. I put in a profitable session of 1300 hands (including a brief trip to 5/10 where I got stacked rather quickly.) I've been meaning to play more heads-up no limit, and Stars' adding tables was both a good impetus and an encouraging sign. I'll be doing more of that-- it combines what I like about shorthanded limit hold 'em with what I like about no-limit that brings me to the game in the first place. Obviously this is a small sample, but I was already inclined to head in this direction. I'll keep reporting on how they go.One more note: I did a small feature for Cardplayer-- the "Online Hand-to-Hand Combat" section in the "Inside Straight", if you're familiar with the magazine. It's apparently out in print now-- I haven't seen it but was told it appeared in this month's issue. it's not online yet, but I'll be sure to post the link when it is.

Nath, so these tables are actual cash games? I've played tons of heads-up sng's but never heads-up cash games with fixed blinds. This is interesting. What are the max/min buy-ins for the 3 limits you mention. How has the level of play been? Do you have to wait long for tables? I haven't played PS in a while but this might make it worth my while.- S

"Nath, so these tables are actual cash games?"Yeah. They just put them in on Thursday-- minimium buyin is 20BB, max is 100BB, and they have them available up to 5/10. The 5/10 games can be tough to get a table at because so many regulars who play higher and want to play heads-up sit in, but I've never had a problem finding an open table at 2/4 or 3/6 (Stars has capped each level at 10 tables).
As I think is the case with most heads-up cash games, the regulars are pretty good, but a lot of people sit in who don't really know what they're doing, or buy in short with no plan, and they make the games profitable.
