I really like Belterra Casino as a whole. They have a really nice card room, in a good spot on the boat. It's a bit more of a drive for us, but is an easy one. I'd certainly recommend it to anyone on a weekend who might not want to wait as long for a table as someone going to Argosy.
Most of the times I've been there have been Saturdays. Lately they have been offering $1/2 NL, $2/4 FL and are also known to spread a $2/5 NL game when requested. Their max rake is 10%, up to $4, which is lower than that of their competitors.

The room itself is comfortable. There is plenty of space between the tables and they are in great shape. The chairs fairly comfy as well. There is plenty of room to wait inside the poker room for your seat and they generally have a couple different poker magazines available that are free of charge. The restrooms are located directly outside the poker room doors, so no trek across the boat! Temperature is the only issue I've ever had with Belterra's poker room – it tends to be chilly, so I always take a sweater or jacket just in case.

Everyone I've encountered there has been very friendly. They keep the games moving without being pushy.

| Food and Drink |

|
Cocktail servers always seem to be around, so it's not usually a problem to get drinks. Usually a couple times a night the servers will also take food orders for their snack shop on the lower levels. You are permitted to eat at the table and they'll usually bring a wheeled table over to you for your food while you're playing.

| Wait Time/Overall Service |

They have their lists displayed on a screen above the front desk. It's easy to keep track of where you are on it. Their poker room attendance kind of took a hit when Argosy opened up their room in May of 2006. They used to have a much longer wait and $2/5 NL was their big game with a couple must-move tables feeding a main table. Now most people seem to show up for the $1/2 NL, which now has a must-move and main table. It's still a good game, you just don't have to wait as long now. Usually not more than a 1/2 hour on a Friday or Saturday night depending on how many tables they have running.

| Comps |

Their comps are $1 per hour of play, but I believe they max you out a 7 consecutive hours per session. (It may be slightly more than 7 hours, but they have a max comp per session.) You can get a comp at the poker desk or at the general comp desk.
