Overall Impressions

Category rating:
I was impressed. It's not huge or overly fancy, but it has good NL action, friendly dealers and management and everything about the room was very professional. The casino and hotel are really nice too. It was unexpected to find Vegas type action in the heart of Santa Barbara wine country. Pretty cool!

Atmosphere

The tables and chairs were all new and nice. All tables had auto shufflers. TV's were on all the walls. They didn't have an electronic waiting list, but everything was orderly. They did have pages that they gave out while you waiting, however, they ran out when I asked for one.

Everyone was very professional and knowledgeable.

Food and Drink

Category rating:
If you call a drink water, soda or water... yes, it's easy. However, no liquor is served in the casino; so the answer is 'YES' it's very difficult to get a drink -- actually impossible. I ate in a nice cafe near the poker room and the food was basic, but very tasty. The prices were very reasonable and the food came really fast. I ordered a burger and it was very good. I was told that they serve food at the tables, and a few players recommended their breakfasts. I played until 2:30am, so I did think about ordering breakfast!

Wait Time/Overall Service

They use a blackboard type list and the one woman manning the list was professional, but it was very crowded and it took at least two hours on a Sat night to get seated at a NL table.

Comps

Category rating:
They have all kinds of comps. They offer vouchers for free chips with every tournament entry, they have good bad beat jackpots and they also run a little raffle every half hour whereby they randomly pick a few tables and add money to the next pot at that table.
