Swami, I'm not wild about the float with 44 in hand #1. What turn card can you comfortably continue with? An ace, king, queen, jack, ten, eight, five or spade rolls off and he fires shot #2...then what? As played, I'd raise the flop. Even with an over pair, that's an awkward call for him out of position. And I understand the thinking behind the flop check in hand #2, but for the love of 2R, raise that turn bet. Calling a $28 bet in a $100+ pot? Pretty much begging him to get there, IMO.

BTW, our blog post software can handle most hand converter output in 2+2 format. Let me know if you need some help with it. -Edmond

I understand what you're saying about hand #1. 99% of the time I play this entirely different but it just felt right at the time...don't know how to explain it.

Hand #2 was just played poorly by me.

Yeah, i agree you could have raised the flop (AK hand). If he was as fast and loose as you say, he was probably coming anyway. If he misses the river you might have gotten him to bluff it and stacked him, so I can understand you playing it that way. Tough one.

I will sometimes rr pre but cold called this time because he had been cbetting any flop and I thought I could take him off a hand on certain flops. I liked the flop and he had only been firing 2 streets when he had the goods so I floated. His call on the turn seemed like a draw and his river check seemed very weak so I fired again. He took a long time to call and must have put me on a draw. Good call for him.

I suppose I somewhat screwed this hand up but this guy was playing fast and I felt he was getting all in no matter what he had with his short stack after he called my rr so I tried to make it look like I didn't have an ace.

I actually played very poorly on many other hands today. I've been running so well that I was playing too many hands. I guess 6 tabling last night while slightly inebriated doesn't help either :)
