"That's Poker"

Lately, it seems the tournaments where I get hit by the deck early, I've been losing late. I played a donkament the other day and had 2 full houses, a nut flush, trips and turned quads...all by the 3rd level. 'Course, I was out by the start of the 4th level.

7,500 gtd on BoDog
Average 2200
blinds 25/50

UTG raises 110 (big stack)6k
2nd Pos calls 110 (2400)
Hero mid pos (AA) raises to 540 (2300)
UTG labors and calls
2nd pos instacalls
Flop 569 rainbow
UTG bets half pot
2nd pos pushes
Hero calls. UTG folds. 2nd pos shows 78o.

I'm not completely clear on the concept, but I think I'm owed a lot of G-bucks.

EPASSPORTE

Epassporte seems to be working so far...i think. It took about two weeks to validate the account and customer service seems to be non-exisistant. Once i was able to deposit there was another problem, it will take another week before you can use your money. I haven't tried to withdraw yet , so i will keep you posted.

There are big differences between Epassporte and Neteller but what choice do we have considering the new legislation. Hopefully poker players and the government will somehow find common ground and this will all be an unpleasant memory soon. Until then if you really want to use your skills you should try your hand at the lotto, scratchers , or maybe the ponys. Lot's of luck!

Epassporte

Be prepared to wait along time to open an Epassporte account. The call volume is through the roof and it's really hard to get through to someone, if at all. Maybe this is the way to go. We will see.

I was Hustled.

I agree that the new tournament room at the Hustler is very nice. The new light brown or tan colored tables makes it easier to see the cards when I am in seat 3, 4, 7, or 8. Comfortable chairs and the extra space makes it easier to get in and out of your seat, and the room is well lit.

I also played in the Weds night tournament and noticed the play is really bad early in the tournament. In the middle of the tournament, I had my stack up to about 6,500 when i raised a medium stack on the BB [5xbb] with AKs. He called and flop came K64. He checked and I bet half the pot hoping to keep the hook in when he raised all in! I called the all in, and he showed 86o (wtf?). The river, of course, was the ugliest 8 I've ever seen. I understand the semi-bluff on flop, but the call preflop steamed me a little. I finished the tournament somewhere between 35-38th after a couple more choice hands, but overall I was happy with my play.

On a different note there are a couple Poker After Dark links someone posted with James Woods and Phil Hellmuth, I really enjoyed the one with Phil especially. Check them out.

Not getting hit by the deck late in an MTT

I am a better than average mtt player, but I have a question I would like some feedback on. I make it deep in a lot of mtt's, but it seems like there is something more I should do when I go card dead. Does anyone out there bet hard on an open ended str9 or flush draw late in a tourney for about half of your stack? How often should i do this or should I do it at all? Thanks.
