4-tabling STT = teh nuts

I love MTT, but with time demands and bankroll taking a hit is there any better way to build a roll than mult-tabling low-stakes STT? I was playing the $4/180's but as you can see I was getting nowhere. I started 4-tabling $6.50 turbo STT and have been getting good results.

I think I will continue grinding and only play a few weekend MTT until the WSOP Circuit in New Orleans (May).

2nd in stars $4/180

Just finished 2nd in a stars $4/180. I've played a lot of these and this is my best finish. Unfortunately I am not happy with my heads up play at all. First hand of heads up my QQ > 55 and I held a 5 to 1 chip lead. I made some loose calls IMO trying to end it and ended up losing with KQ < A3. I'll be posting some of my hands on 2+2 for analysis but my own analysis is that my heads up play was pretty crappy. I've been running terribly since loading on pokerstars but this puts me almost even. Hopefully I can learn from this and plug some leaks for later.

Sunday Bustout Hands

I played a few major tournaments on Sunday, the Sunday 100k on stars and Sunday 100k on Cake. Was way up early in stars 100k but went card dead for a while. With around 5k left (3k pay) I push with 1010 and get called by A10. Ace on the river obv.

I played well in the Cake 100k and with about 300 left I raised JJ from the cutoff when the big blind was sitting out. Small blind pushes and I decide I beat his range because he thinks I am just trying to steal from the sitting out big blind. I am right and he tables 66. 6 on the flop obv and I am out.

I won two satellites to the Cake 100k so I guess I have an entry to the next one, whenever that is. Unlike pokerstars, you can not use your satellite win for entry into any tournament you want. Other than that I am pretty much busto on cake. Back to grinding $10 donkaments for satellite moneys.

Right now I am looking forward to going to New Orleans to play in the WSOP Circuit Event in May. Hopefully I can continue to get good karma from the site of my last major cash.

A pictorial analogy of my Sunday

I've been playing on Cake, where I have been winning and placing in almost any satellite I play. Unfortunately, I did not do so well in the Sunday main events themselves. I had TWO bubble finishes and one early blowup. In both bubble finishes I got short stacked and just couldn't pull out. Hopefully will run better next week.

Vegas Sucks

Just got back from 2 days in Vegas and boy did I run terrible. I didn't feel i played my best game at times but I also had some bad beats. I lost 100% (no lie) of my coin flips and lost 2 key hands that crushed me, one when K10 > my KQ AIPF and K9 > my KK AIPF. Apparently a sooted King is the new aces.

Played 5 of Caesar's $150 tourneys (which are great) and 2 of the Flamingo $65. I'll be back for New Years and will hopefully play and run better.
