New Promos at the Horizons Vicksburg

I got this from a trusted source about the Horizons Vicksburg, MS:

A quick update, our new promotions should be going into effect on Sat.

On sat and mon we will be doing "splash the pot" where we add $100 per table every hour.

Our aces cracked will be doubled to $120 on 5-10 and above as well as all NL games.

We will be giving out cash for high hands.
4 of a kind is $30 and a royal using both card is $500.
I forget what a royal using one card will pay and i believe a straight flush will be $100/$300 depending on if it uses one or two cards.

Sale of the Horizon is set to close on Aug 15, so I would expect real improvements after that.

Here are the correct promos for the Horizons. The first post was just an estimate.

Ok, I have the correct amounts.

Royal is $500/$250
Straight flush is $200/$100
4 of a kind is $30

We are also adding $500 to both the Sun afternoon and the Tues evening tournaments.

Splash the pot on Sat will be 9 am to 6 pm for $100. Splash the pot on Mon will be 7 am until 6 am Tues morning.

Here's the latest update for promos at the Horizons.

The max rake on all games at the Horizon is now $3 with no rake taken on NL games between 5pm and 7 pm.

I dropped by Horizon Friday, but was too late to enter the tournament, but apparently too early to find a NL game. I checked out the brochure for the promos and they are impressive. Unfortunately, It doesn't look like much is being done to get the word out. Unless you happen to wander in and see the brochure, you'd never know about it. Also, it seems that many of the scoundrels in the Friday freeroll are playing elsewhere once the tourney is over. If I were running it, I'd add a qualifier that you had to play a small minimum of hours in order to qualify for the tournament.

Horizon's collection of promos and bonuses are definitely worth a look if you are in the area.
