Site Name Detailed Review Summary
24hPoker Click here for a full review of the site  Note 24hPoker does not accept US players.

24hPoker (part of the B2B network) is a nice choice for European players looking for soft sit n gos, MTTs and loose NL cash games. Although not as feature-rich as that of other sites, the software has a clean, minimalist feel and is fast and stable. If you play ring games, you'll find the site his a high mix of NL games, allows unlimited multi-tabling and has a generous VIP program that rebates you cash based on your volume of play. If you're a tournament player, there's a nice array of sit n gos and MTTs with structures that allow plenty of time to maneuver, tournament play counts toward bonuses, and the lobby includes blind structure info and remaining level times are displayed at the table. Note: we thought players were WAY more aggressive than they needed to be relative to the blinds structures; we got a ton of free chips from guys overplaying top or 2nd pair early. It's easy to sign-up on the site and the bonuses and monthly cash rebates are generous for a site this size. Overall, we'd be comfortable recommending the site to players on GMT time with the caveat that we noticed more aggressive players here than we've seen at other sites we've reviewed.
Bodog Poker Click here for a full review of the site  Bodog is an independent site developed by one of the leading online sportsbooks and has been supported with an extensive advertising campaign. The software is fast and intuitive with simple, pleasing graphics. If you’re a limit game player looking to multi-table, manage your expectations--most of the action of the site is no limit--but if you're an NL player, this is your site. In many of the ring games, 40+% of players routinely see the flop and the play is best described as a free-for-all. You’ll be startled (but pleased!) by what some of these guys call pre-flop raises with--J2 suited, Q8o, the Doyle Brunson--and you'll get stung at the river by hands you don't expect. But if you dig in and play tight, aggressive poker, your NETeller account will expand like the waistline of middle America. Similarly, if you play tournaments, Bodog will quickly become one of your favorite sites. The daily and weekly guaranteed MTTs almost always have overlays, the sit n go play is weak and tournament rake counts toward bonus clearing at the most generous rate we’ve seen. Finally, Bodog offers an unlimited reload bonus--10% on all deposits, no max. Overall, this a MUST PLAY site for a good NL player.
Bugsys Club Click here for a full review of the site  Bugsy's Club is a great choice if you're a budget-minded player looking to pick up quality tournament experience. Specifically, the site offers a number of low buy-in tournaments with large starting stacks (10,000 chips) and generous level times (10-20 minutes). If you're just plain cheap, you can play for free on PokerPages (a related site) and earn points which can then be converted into cash for real money games on Bugsy's. There's not much action at limits over $2, but there are plenty of lower limit ring games and lower buy-in sit n gos. The software is reliable, allows unlimited tables and offers one of the better statistics tracking features we've seen. Again, focus on the MTTs; they offer an exceptional tournament experience and value. Note: the sign-up bonus clears through both ring game and tournament play.
Captain Cooks Poker Click here for a full review of the site  The Prima network of poker sites does not accept US players.

Captain Cooks Poker, a South Pacific-themed Prima network site, is a reliable choice for players more concerned with net win than features. Overall, think of the Prima network as the wooden ship of online poker--uncomfortable and nerve-wracking in a heavy storm but the perfect choice to bring home spoils from the New World. Compared to the other major sites, you'll find the software awkward at first, the graphics a little dated, and the features average, at best. In addition, there's rarely an overlay in the MTTs, and the SnGs have both a steep blind structure and a confusing array of buy-ins, level times and payouts. As for support, the online help is incomplete and the email help inconsistent in response and accuracy. In all honesty, the only time you'll love this site is when it's time to cash-out and therein lies the reason you play a Prima skin--the NL ring game and SnG play is as weak as any we've seen. Note: we reviewed two Prima skins (Royal Vegas, Captain Cook's); each has software modifications of note. Of the three, Captain Cook's has superior graphics (the South Pacific theme is very nice) and a bonus that's easier to clear than that of Royal Vegas. However, you're limited to 5 tables on the site vs. 10 on Royal Vegas.
DoylesRoom Click here for a full review of the site  As of Feb 07, Doyles Room does not accept US customers.

The superb user interface makes DoylesRoom (Tribeca Tables network) one of our favorite smaller site/networks for ring game play. The lobby, table and cashier are integrated and easy to navigiate. At the table, you'll find the action is easy to follow with large and intuitive action buttons (note: the raise button is a RAISE BY button; be careful not to overbet). If you're a ring game player, there are plenty of active NL cash games and you can play up to 4 tables at once. If you're a tournament player, you'll find a wide range of inexpensive MTTs and lots of SnGs. Note, though, the blind structure is not posted on the site and the one forwarded to us by support was not accurate. That said, live and email support was very responsive and provide accurate answers to our other questions.
Empire Poker Click here for a full review of the site  The Party network of poker sites (which includes Empire) does not accept US players.

Party network software is fairly basic but it does offer a lobby filters to aid game and tournament selection and a nice multi-tabling feature (multiple tables can be automatically "tiled" to fit your monitor). Other sites have more feature-rich software and better customer service, but even with the closure of the site to US traffic, the network is a reliable source for 24-hr action.
Everest Poker Click here for a full review of the site  Everest Poker does not accept US players.

If you're looking for some variety but don't really want to make a big deposit commitment to yet another site, you should consider Everest Poker. You get $100 of bonus money just for opening an account (note: the bonus clears based on amount wagered) and the site spreads freeroll sit n gos. If you grind a little and build a little bankroll, you'll want to work the NL games...the site has a lot of European players that apparently idolize Gus Hansen--any two cards and they're good to go. If you get your AA cracked by some joker playing 87o and need to reload, the minimum deposit is $5 (FirePay and Click2Pay)--there's no need to make a $50 commitment. We found a surprising amount of traffic for a newer site...in both ring games and sit n gos...albeit at lower limits, but we had no trouble finding $10 sit n go action and NL tables at $10 stakes and below. If you're a SnG player, we found the sit n go play to be more aggressive than the 10 minute level times and 67x starting chip to blind ratio would dictate. Play tight and let the other guys blow themselves up; you'll money. Note: there's not much limit action, and the site doesn't spread Omaha or stud yet. Oh yeah, and you'll really like the software...it's VERY cool.
Full Contact Poker Click here for a full review of the site  The OnGame network of poker sites does not accept US players.

FullContactPoker (endorsed by Daniel Negreanu) is part of the PokerNetwork, currently the fourth largest network. Of the various PokerNetwork sites out there, Negreanu fans will love his--the table graphics are a rich blue and the players images are the young, tattooed and hockey-shirted types you see hanging around at live tournaments. As well, there are all sorts of promotions to end up playing with Kid Poker himself. The site and software offers tons of features and comprehensive sessions stats, and there's plenty of ring game and tournament action for all but the heavy high limit multi-tabler. Sit n go players will find they seat quickly (at $30 and below) and offer 8-12 minutes level times depending on the buy-in. In addition, there's a good mix of MTTs with an informative tournament lobby. If you're a rookie, the $5 buy-in MTTs seat pretty much hourly, and if you're a better player, you'll want to play the $1000 Grand tournament. With no fee, 10,000 chips, 30 minute levels, it's a great MTT value. Full Contact's website is also worth exploring; Negreanu regularly blogs about his tournament travels and offer insights on specific players and hands. Again, if you're a Negreanu fan, this is your site!

Full Tilt Poker Click here for a full review of the site  Full Tilt is a well-trafficked site designed by guys who play for a living and it shows. The lobby and table graphics and information are first-rate with all of the features (table stats, session stats, real-time HH, etc.) you'd expect from a player-oriented site. While the majority of the ring game traffic is NL, there's plenty of fixed limit and NL action for all but a serious multi-table freak. Tilt also offers "Cap" no limit games in which the maximum you can bet at any one time is limited in advance. Tournament players will be comfortable here; the MTTs and SnGs have gradual blind structures that give players plenty of time to maneuver and lobbies with all relevant info including links to satellites. There's no phone or live online support, but the email support was responsive and accurate. We've heard reports of slow cashouts, but our cashout (via NETeller) hit in <24 hours. Note: other reviews we've read on Full Tilt suggest above average player skill on the site; we didn't see it. Some tables are loose, others are rock gardens; if you make adjustments, you'll do fine.
GamesGrid Poker Click here for a full review of the site  GamesGrid Poker is an offshoot of a popular backgammon site. Launched in 2005, the site offers a stunning interface that, while not feature-rich, is enjoyable to play. To date, traffic on the site is minimal, but at peak hours you can find low dollar limit and NL action. Note: the site spreads a dealer's choice game in which players pick the game played on their deal; it's a great idea; we wish the major sites would copy the concept. If you're a tournament player, note that MTT traffic is light and SnGs take forever to seat; there are, though, occasional freerolls for regular players and many of the MTTs offer overlays of 25+%. Note: SnGs start once three players have been seated; they offer 10 minute level times and pay 1 spot. The lobby could be improved; there's no table info (flop%s, avg pot, etc.) to aid game selection. Then again, there are only a few games to choose from. The site has a great cashier window; it's easy to see and track your bonus status. There's a Mac download available. If GamesGrid promoted their site and brought more traffic, we think it would quickly become a popular site.
