  Our quick thoughts
Full Tilt is a well-trafficked site designed by guys who play for a living and it shows. The lobby and table graphics and information are first-rate with all of the features (table stats, session stats, real-time HH, etc.) you'd expect from a player-oriented site. While the majority of the ring game traffic is NL, there's plenty of fixed limit and NL action for all but a serious multi-table freak. Tilt also offers "Cap" no limit games in which the maximum you can bet at any one time is limited in advance. Tournament players will be comfortable here; the MTTs and SnGs have gradual blind structures that give players plenty of time to maneuver and lobbies with all relevant info including links to satellites. There's no phone or live online support, but the email support was responsive and accurate. We've heard reports of slow cashouts, but our cashout (via NETeller) hit in <24 hours. Note: other reviews we've read on Full Tilt suggest above average player skill on the site; we didn't see it. Some tables are loose, others are rock gardens; if you make adjustments, you'll do fine.

Ring game play clears bonus? yes
For each $1 raked from a pot, every player dealt cards in the hand will earn 1 pt (worth 6c in bonus); there's a maximum of 3 pts per player/hand. If you're playing at $2/4 game with a $20 average pot (roughly $1 of rake), there will probably be 40 or so raked hands per hour, and you'll pick up 40 pts/hr. You'll need 1600 points to clear $100; figure 40 hours to clear the bonus.
Tournament play clears bonus? yes
You need to earn 16 player point to clear $1 of bonus money. For every $1 you pay in tournament entry fees, you'll receive 7 pts; you'll need 1600 points to clear $100 or 1600/7 = 229 $10 sit n gos. This equates to roughly a 100/229 = 44% rebate on tournament fees paid.

  What we liked
- Exceptional software; clear lobby and table graphics
- Player-friendly blind structure in SnGs, consistent across all buy-ins and posted in the lobby
- Full table stats in the lobby; session stats at the table
- Nice selection of cash games of all types and limits
- Hourly NL MTTs with detailed tournament lobbies and a special "final table"
- Ability to sit front and center and change the table background to your liking
- The most complete online instruction/support we've seen
- Detachable chat window with scroll lock makes it easy to recap action
- Clear, simple cashier window
  What we didn't like
- The cartoonish avatars; fortunately, you can turn them off
- No web-based tournament listing?
- Limited deposit options and relatively high minimum deposits
- Bonus account info is confusing as presented
Why you should play the site
- The site offers superb software, first-rate support and pro instruction
- There's a huge $600 sign-up bonus and regular reload bonuses
- There's plenty of cash game traffic (all types and limits) at all hours of the day
- The SnG blind structure is the most player-friendly we've seen
- The $250K weekly (Sun, 6p EST) has a gradual blind structure, 3000 chips and 12 minute levels
- The instruction tips from the pros are timely, insightful and fun-to-read
- There's an excellent download version for Mac users
  For the ring game player
- Action in all game types and limits; especially smaller limit (<$1/$2) NL games
- Multi-tabling (4 tables is the default limit) is easy with this software
- Full Tilt offers "Cap" games which limit the total bet size that a player can make; it's like NL without the threat of losing your whole stack
- Full Tilt hand histories are supported by PokerTracker
  For the tournament player
- Full Tilt has the most player friendly blind structure you'll find; see our blind detail [link]
- The guaranteed tournament rarely offers overlays
- No nitro, turbo or ultra SnGs; SnGs here last well over 1 hr
- Tournament lobbies are very detailed and include all relevant info including links to satellites
- NL tournaments of all buy-ins run hourly
- Double stack tournaments (signified by the DS in the lobby) offer 3000 starting chips vs the 1500 in regular events
- Ongoing satellites to live WPT, WSOP events
- Tourney fees count toward bonuses; 42% of your entry fees are rebated when clearing a bonus
  For the value player
- The sign-up and reload bonuses are somewhat tough to clear
- The SnGs are a great value; the gradual blind structure gives plenty of play
- The guaranteed tournaments rarely offer an overlay
  Insider tips
- Cashout via NETeller; there's a $300 minimum on a cashout via check
- Detach the chat window, reduce the font size and select "everything" and "scroll lock"; then place the chat window to the right of the table; you'll have a nice ongoing recap of the action
- De-select "observer chat" when at a pro players table; the sycophants are annoying
- You can get your max table limit raised to 8 by emailing support

  Software review
We really like Full Tilt's fast, elegant software. The software client offers a very appealing, intuitive lobby with complete table stats to ease game selection. At the table, the graphics are quite nice, although the avatars are somewhat gimmicky and distracting; fortunately, you can opt to turn them off. With the avatars off, we found the table among the nicer we've seen, with graphics and font choices that make the action easy to follow. Further, the betting buttons are very clear and easy-to-use (note: we're surprised how many sites have awkward or confusing action buttons. Full Tilt's not one of them); the raise button is a RAISE TO button. Two nice features other sites would do well to copy: you can pick the background colors/imagery to suit your taste and you can put yourself at any seat at the table by simply right-clicking on the seat. As for table info, complete session stats and hand histories are available at the table; both are easy to review. In addition, the note taking feature is quite good; it's simple to use and obvious when you have a note on a player. We particularly like the chat/action box which can be detached and placed beside the table to provide an ongoing recap of the action. Note: as of Jan 06, Full Tilt offers a Mac download, one of the few sites to do so.
  Hand histories
Hand histories are stored locally on the user's hard drive and can be reviewed real-time via a clear HH reviewer. Full Tilt ring game and tournament hand histories are supported by PokerTracker.
