I guess I have a bit of a favorable bias toward this place, because this was the first cardroom I ever played a live game. When I say that I am being too nice to a place I gave 3 chips, that is definitely saying something. The staff never seemed terribly professional, but I thought that they made a nice effort and made the overall playing experience to be a nice one. The $100 cap on the no-limit game, was about 1/2 to 1/3 what I would have liked to see, but the place was profitable with all of the reckless players who came in on the weekends. The dealers were never anything special, but I am really not thrilled with the electronic tables. I came to this room once after the new tables were installed. I sat down for about 15 minutes, and swore never to come back again. My suggestion to this place would have been to install maybe one of those tables for sit-n-go action, but oh well.... There are just better places to play in or around Sacramento.

The room is very tiny, and the noise from the bar is kept out as long as people keep the door closed. it is a bit too small for my liking and space has always been a major concern.

The dealers were always sub-par, but at least most of them had a personality. That was a plus in a game full of drunks. However, this no longer is an issue with the electronic tables.

Drinks are easy to come by. Service in this area has always been excellent. It was always fun to order a "tall" beer and relax in the room away from the mess in the bar area.

The lists were on a white board, and management usually had players write down their own names. The problem with the small room is that it often does not have enough room for waiting players. If a waiting player is pushed out to the bar on a busy weekend, it is impossible to hear your name called for an open spot at a table. Waits have always varied greatly at this place. I have been there on Saturday nights and been seated immediately. Other times, I quit waiting after more than an hour.

No comps, except for some bottled water kept in the fridge in the poker room.
