Quick stop for some poker at Argosy

While in Indiana we decided to stop at Argosy before we headed home. I must say this is one of the biggest if not the biggest Riverboat Casino's in Indiana. There were two Poker Room's to my knowledge, a High Roller room and a room for the smaller cash games. I stopped into the smaller cash game and bought into the 3/6Limit game. I believe there were 8-10 tables in this room, with 3 of them playing the 3/6Limit, and 3 of them playing the 1/3NL. The rest were being used for a tournament they were having. The room seemed a little crammed with all of the tables, but once you were seated you were comfortable. The dealers were extremely nice and helpful, and they used two decks with an automatic shuffler. They had a T.V. on the wall that told you were you were on the wait list, and what games were open, being played and if there were seats available. [[ This is a content summary only.
My Experience at the Grand Victoria

The Poker Room at the Grand Victoria Casino was a comfortable setting, reminded me of playing a home game. The dealers were extremely nice and even more helpful when asked questions. They were very well trained in my opinion and kept up with the action in the game. The dealers shuffled their own cards, and made sure any dead cards were exposed to the table and if a card had a crease or looked like it was marked was put back in the pile and a new deck was used. A lot of the players at the tables were regulars that play all of the time at the casino. They were extremely nice as well and for the most part all of them played fairly decent. One guy at the table played every hand, no matter what it was. The bad thing about him is when you didn't think he had anything, he did.

At the time of my visit they had four of the eight tables running, one 3/6 Limit, two 1/3NL, and one 5/10NL game. [[ This is a content summary only. Visit my website for full links, other content, and more! ]]

Online Poker, the do's and dont's!

http://www.tworags.com/index.php?ACTION=blogs&todo=view&ID=178

Please before you read this blog, understand that I am NOT dissing online poker play or saying that it is a bad thing. I love online poker and play it A LOT. This legislation that passed isn’t going to damper Online Play either, so again remember, I love online play, just giving my .02.

Online Poker!!! WOW that is all I can say, just WOW!!! I played my first hand ever in an online poker room, and I haven’t stopped playing poker since. Online Poker has its pro's and con's (and I don't mean professionals and convicts, which it probably has as well :) ). Online poker is becoming one of the most talked about and easiest ways to play poker. Think about it, you wake up, get a cup of coffee, and sit down still in your PJ's and play some poker. You don't have to get dressed, you don't have to leave the house and drive to the casino, and it works out perfectly.

Online poker is great for anybody, whether you have been playing the game for years or just started today. [[ This is a content summary only. Visit my website for full links, other content, and more! ]]
